Our Promotions Information Designing team is at the forefront of building a comprehensive data ecosystem that informs our understanding of the impact of ads on our business. We're now looking for a talented and driven Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our advertising data models and pipelines. About the Role As a Data Engineer at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the core data models and pipelines that power our advertising capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data that informs business decisions. Your expertise in data engineering, advertising, and data modeling will help drive our business forward and shape the future of our advertising ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Design, strengthen, and extend the core data models used by our advertising capabilities to address business questions Collaborate with partners to identify needs, model tables using software engineering and data warehousing best practices, and develop data pipelines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data Work with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to create datasets that serve analysis and reporting needs Develop best practices for the management of datasets with sensitive data Build strong and collaborative relationships with data scientists, analysts, and AI experts Who We're Looking For We're looking for a seasoned Data Engineer with a passion for advertising, data modeling, and large-scale data processing. You should have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience building production data pipelines, preferably using distributed processing systems like Apache Spark or Hive/Hadoop Proficiency in data modeling and data engineering across multiple systems Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data issues into clear and concise language A strong foundation in software engineering, with experience working with languages like Python and SQL Familiarity with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, and Voila Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation for both batch and streaming data What We Offer At Blithequark, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, innovative, and supportive.
