Experienced Full Stack Data Analyst – Paid Media Optimization and Business Intelligence

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our team in a part-time remote capacity. As a key member of our analytics team, you will play a critical role in supporting our paid media optimization capability to drive business growth and improve advertising efficiencies. You will work closely with our marketing teams to identify areas of improvement and develop data-driven insights to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Convey data-driven insights and recommendations in the area of paid media to inform business decisions
Develop and lead the improvement of data, business intelligence, and data science projects to enhance paid media and advertising efficiencies
Collaborate with paid media data science teams and marketing teams to implement media blend models and optimize paid media spend
Direct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by smart interpretation of results and the plan and communication of suggestions that drive action
Work as a liaison with marketing, finance, and product teams to handle business challenges and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach
Utilize Organized Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, and other data visualization tools to create and maintain planned and ad-hoc reports
Examine data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with partners to leverage data (internal data from Amazon and external data from market research and marketing firms) and address complex business challenges by conveying significant insights
Conceptualize and run investigations that produce insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and refine our value proposition


Essential Capabilities

Experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Consulting in an e-commerce or related industry
High-level SQL experience
High-level involvement in at least one industry data analysis and visualization tool (e.g. Tableau/QuickSight/Power BI)
Master in Excel with a demonstrated history
Degree in data science, business, finance, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other related field

Strong inclination for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and tight deadlines
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with both business leadership and technical teams effectively
Experience with enrollment, membership-based, or media content organizations
Experience with and/or interest in learning more on state-of-the-art data science approaches
Programming languages: knowledge of Python
Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS
Knowledge of Adobe Analytics
