Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Costume CAM Specialist to join our team. As a Costume CAM Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and editing designs, patterns, and specifications for our costumes and characters. You will work closely with our designers, pattern makers, and production teams to ensure that our costumes are of the highest quality and meet our exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and edit patterns, specifications, and designs for costumes and characters using Adobe Illustrator or other similar software.
Collaborate with designers, pattern makers, and production teams to ensure that costumes meet our quality and design standards.
Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of costume designs, patterns, and specifications.
Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that costumes are produced to our specifications.
Participate in design reviews and meetings to ensure that costumes meet our design and quality standards.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of costume design principles, fabrics, and construction methods.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in costume design and technology.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in costume design, pattern making, or a related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or other similar software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Gerber Accumark, Microsoft Excel, Gerber YuniquePLM, Adobe Photoshop, Cutworks, Cast Estimations, SAP, and Accunest.
Experience with plotters, digitizing machines, and handheld 3D scanners.
Experience in the costume industry, theater, or themed entertainment.
Knowledge of modern sewing machines, press equipment, and tools.
Ability to create and alter complex costume designs in Adobe Illustrator.
