Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Bookkeeper at Finance Pals, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality bookkeeping services to our clients, including financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable management, and financial analysis. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their financial needs and develop tailored solutions to help them achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities Enter monthly transactions into QBO, Xero, and other accounting software Monthly reconciliation of financial statements Invoicing and matching invoice payments to keep accounts receivable up to date Accounts payable management, including entering bills into bill.com, bank ACH, Melio, QBO AP, or other software Download bank statements and reconcile bank accounts Potential for running payroll for clients Other tasks to help out the team, based on skills and interest Desired Qualifications We're looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting. The ideal candidate will have: At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Experience with QBO, Xero, and other accounting software Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Preferred Qualifications We're also looking for candidates with experience in the following areas: Tax preparation New state setup for payroll, including registering with state agencies to obtain account numbers Payroll integration, including setting up payroll with QBO/Xero Sales tax Excel pivot tables and vlookups QB Desktop, Sage, or other accounting software Accrual accounting and journal entries Balance sheet cleanup HR or operations experience What We Offer As a Bookkeeper at Finance Pals, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth and development.
