Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team at blithequark. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for determining and reporting of merchant discount income, providing a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth. This is a part-time data entry job that offers a competitive salary of $25-$35 per hour and the opportunity to work remotely. Key Responsibilities Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change. Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region. Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing groups for all reporting and forecasting related activities. Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing groups that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles. A bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in finance/accounting/business. High proficiency with Excel is required. Solid attention to detail and organization. Solid aptitude for analysis; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required. Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
