About the Role We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team at blithequark. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for determining and reporting merchant discount income, driving normalization and process improvement, and performing ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights. This is a part-time data entry job that offers a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth. Key Responsibilities Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change. Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region. Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing groups for all reporting and forecasting related activities. Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing groups that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles. A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in Finance/Accounting/Business. High proficiency with Excel is required. Solid attention to detail and organization. Solid analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large set of financial data. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required. Excellent communication skills - both written and oral. A strong relationship with stakeholders and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives. A strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, which puts a premium on driving results. An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches to getting things done and develop new ways to approach old challenges. Solid project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution. A passionate focus on the client; demonstrated desire to understand and address client needs and pain points. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a global organization with a diverse community of partners. Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
