About the Role As a Financial Aid Consultant with blithequark, you'll play a pivotal role in driving improvements in financial aid operations across the country. Working closely with institutional staff, you'll conduct operational reviews, prepare comprehensive assessment reports, and develop tailored improvement plans to ensure compliance and optimize workflows. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted plans to address financial aid compliance and operational issues, including workflow optimization. Conduct in-depth research on complex regulatory issues, providing concise analysis and actionable recommendations to clients. Perform operational reviews and prepare detailed reports of findings, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Lead training sessions on financial aid issues, both individually and in group settings, to enhance client knowledge and capacity. Develop project plans, manage software implementation or configuration, and create comprehensive documentation of completed work. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on financial aid operations, system improvements, and corrective action plans. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. A minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in financial aid, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Proven ability to organize and deliver training sessions, both individually and in group settings. Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulatory requirements, as well as experience with automation and major financial aid information systems. Demonstrated expertise in financial aid operations, system improvements, and corrective action planning. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise reports and present complex information to diverse audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a strong foundation in tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Three or more years of experience with major student information systems, such as Banner, CampusVue, Datatel, PeopleSoft, or PowerFAIDS. A proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing effective solutions in financial aid operations.
