As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the bookkeeping capabilities connected with sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $30-$35 per hour and the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA. Key Responsibilities As a Financial Accountant at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include: Preparing and examining pay and financial account statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts Applying sound accounting principles and creating or suggesting accounting techniques and procedures Guiding or assigning work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other partners to participate in daily accounting activities Coordinating accounting matters with different departments, regions, and divisions Participating in financial reporting Direct Supervisor and Direct Reports This position typically reports to a Senior Director. As a Financial Accountant, you will not have direct reports, but you will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our goals. Travel Requirements Occasional overnight travel may be required, but this will be limited to less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements Most of your time will be spent sitting in a comfortable position, with regular opportunities to move about. Occasionally, you may need to move or lift light objects. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: Be at least 18 years old Be legally authorized to work in the US In addition to these minimum qualifications, we prefer candidates with: 3 years of accounting experience Advanced knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Experience with general ledger software like SAP or similar software Strong relational skills and ability to work in a team environment Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks Solid written and verbal communication skills Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Education and Experience The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are typically obtained through the completion of a four-year degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. You should have at least 2 years of work experience in a related field.
