We are seeking a talented creative writer / ghostwriter with strong developmental editing skills to collaborate with a first-time author on a fantasy novel set in modern times.
This is not a typing or transcription project. The manuscript is partially handwritten and partially typed (Google Docs). The author is looking for professional editorial support and creative collaboration to help complete and refine the book.
Project Scope:
•Review and edit the existing manuscript (Google Docs)
• Provide developmental editing and creative feedback
• Expand and write remaining portions of the story while maintaining tone and narrative consistency
• Ensure strong pacing, clarity, character development, and story continuity
• Perform final proofreading and polishing of the completed manuscript
Ideal Candidate:
• Experienced fiction ghostwriter, preferably with fantasy genre expertise
• Strong background in developmental editing
• Proven experience working with authors (first-time authors preferred)
• Comfortable working from partial drafts and handwritten notes
• Native or near-native English proficiency
• Collaborative and open to multiple revision/feedback rounds
• Able to match and maintain an author’s voice
