**Job Summary**

As an External Support Engineer at careerzynith, you will be responsible for providing technical support to external content creation teams, creating reference materials, and solving complex issues with tools and workflows. You will be the first point of contact for content teams when they encounter issues with tools, and you will work closely with the tools engineering team to filter issues and feedback. Your expertise will help drive features from initial concept to completion, and you will partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality.

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**

* Provide technical support to content/external teams in regard to use of content tools, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
* Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency
* Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, working closely with the tools engineering team
* Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and work with production to track these issues in JIRA
* Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving innovation and growth
* Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity
* Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring alignment and buy-in from stakeholders
* Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics

**Skills and Abilities**

* Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong foundation in software development and engineering principles
* Good written and verbal communication skills, including working with external partners and stakeholders
* Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and development
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously
* Self-motivating, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities

**Education and Experience**

* Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience, with a strong foundation in software development and engineering principles
* Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of resolving complex issues and improving efficiency
* Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of game development principles and best practices
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect-tracking software, with a strong understanding of agile development methodologies and workflows
* iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong understanding of mobile development principles and best practices
* 5 years experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and scalability

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for roles in this area of careerzynith is typically $150,000 - $325,000.
