As a member of our team, you'll be part of a dynamic and supportive community that's passionate about delivering exceptional results. **Key Responsibilities** As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you'll be responsible for: * Providing technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, ensuring they have the resources and expertise they need to succeed. * Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, empowering them to work independently and efficiently. * Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. * Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, working closely with production to track these issues in JIRA and ensure timely resolution. * Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, using your expertise to drive positive change and continuous improvement. * Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. * Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, bringing together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to achieve shared goals. * Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for yourself and your team. **Essential Skills and Abilities** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * The ability to read and understand C# code, with a solid foundation in software development principles and practices. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with external partners and stakeholders. * A positive attitude and the ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement. * Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. * Self-motivation, with a strong sense of accountability and a willingness to take ownership of your work and its impact. **Education and Experience** While a Computer Science or related degree is preferred, we also welcome candidates with equivalent work experience. If you have: * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure. * Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a solid understanding of game development principles and practices. * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with a strong understanding of agile development methodologies and practices. * iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a solid foundation in mobile app development principles and practices. * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. **Position Type and Expected Hours of Work** As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, but you'll be expected to be available for meetings and collaborations during our core hours of 10:00am to 6:00pm CST.
