Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Entry Level Direct Support Professional to join our team in the Owasso area. As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and live independently. This is a flexible, hybrid role that allows you to balance your time between our remote office and home, providing the perfect opportunity for those who value work-life balance and flexibility. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Teach skills and provide supports to enable individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities Assist individuals with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities and events Advocate for individuals, communicating their needs, self-expression, and goals to ensure they receive the support and services they need Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress and support provided Essential Qualifications At least 18 years of age Able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds to provide services Good written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license and current auto insurance Clear criminal history record Preferred Qualifications Experience working in healthcare, social services, or a related field Certification in Medical Assistance, Psychology, or a related field Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Certified Medical Assistant Communication Skills Driver's License Healthcare Lift/Move 50 Pounds Presentation/Verbal Skills Psychology Training/Teaching Writing Skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Bios Corporation, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
