About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Entry-Level Claims Adjuster to join our team in a remote work environment. As a Claims Adjuster, you'll play a critical role in recovering payments for damage claims involving utility company equipment and facilities. You'll interact with homeowners, business owners, contractors, insurance companies, and utility company field technicians, providing excellent customer service and resolving claims efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate claims issues and provide information to damagers, including homeowners and contractors.
Negotiate settlements with damagers and insurance companies as applicable.
Review claim information and request/research additional reference material to complete the claim record.
Determine damager liability by obtaining and reviewing evidence, including physical location information, photographs, reports, locate tickets, permit records, internet research, and contact with damagers.
Dispute resolution and respond to damager objections.
Provide detailed data entry into customized claims systems.
Track fees, close and open claims, and other claims information.
Skip tracing as necessary, utilizing internet resources.


Requirements

Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Accurate data review and data entry skills.
Time management and ability to prioritize work.
Organized, thorough, and detail-oriented.
Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High-speed internet service required.


Education and Experience Requirements
We're looking for individuals with a High School diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of clerical and/or data input experience. If you're a motivated and driven individual with a passion for claims adjusting, we encourage you to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

Base pay: $15/hour for the first 90 days, $12/hour thereafter, plus commission.
Bonuses: $9,000 total fees = $500, $11,500 total fees = $1,150, $13,000 total fees = $1,650, $14,500 total fees = $2,250, $16,000 total fees = $3,000.
Opportunity to obtain your adjuster's license, including a 3-day prep class, time off to take the test, and paid time off.
