About the Role: Teaching English Online with Preply As a certified English Tutor with Preply, you'll be responsible for teaching English online to students worldwide. You'll have the autonomy to create your own lesson plans or use Preply's curriculum, setting your availability and scheduling lessons with students through our integrated calendar. Our platform is designed to support you in delivering high-quality lessons, and you'll have access to training and professional development opportunities through our Tutor Academy and regular webinars. Key Responsibilities: Teach English online to Preply students worldwide, on your own schedule and at your own price Create engaging lesson plans or use Preply's curriculum to meet students' needs Set your availability and schedule lessons with students using Preply's integrated calendar Access training and professional development opportunities through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars Provide comprehensive materials and resources to support students' learning Track student progress and adjust your teaching approach as needed Engage with students, understand their needs, and help them achieve their language learning goals Essential Qualifications: Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency) A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc.), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching Experience teaching one-on-one classes with proven results, preferably online Ability to provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs A high-speed internet connection and a suitable workspace Energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful demeanor Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with online language learning platforms Knowledge of curriculum design and development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and student needs Skills and Competencies: To succeed as an English Tutor with Preply, you'll need to possess a combination of skills and competencies, including: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt to different teaching styles Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students Technical skills, including familiarity with online learning platforms and tools Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Preply, we're committed to supporting your professional growth and development.
