About the Role: Elementary Math Tutor We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Elementary Math Tutor to join our team at arenaflex. As a tutor, you will work closely with students to develop their math skills, from basic elementary math concepts to entry-level algebra. Your passion for education and ability to adapt to different learning styles will enable you to create engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student. Key Responsibilities: Provide in-home, one-on-one tutoring for elementary-level math and entry-level algebra students Develop and implement personalized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and learning styles of each student Conduct tutoring sessions in a professional and supportive manner, promoting a positive and encouraging learning environment Prepare session reports for our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student, ensuring that each student receives the attention and support they need Respond to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a timely and professional manner Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring that we can continue to provide the best possible support Essential Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a focus on elementary math and/or specialized education fields Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching, with a proven track record of success Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are highly valued, but not required Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills Ability to prepare engaging and effective lesson plans, tailored to the unique needs of each student Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, with access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone Reliable transportation with current car insurance is essential, as you will be traveling to students' homes for tutoring sessions Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs and abilities Knowledge of test anxiety strategies and techniques to support students in managing stress and building confidence Familiarity with homework prep and organization techniques, to support students in developing effective study habits Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the ongoing development and growth of our tutors.
