We're seeking an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing data strategies that drive business growth, mitigate risk, and inform strategic decision-making. **Key Responsibilities**
As a Director of Data Science, you'll be responsible for:
* Leading the strategic evaluation of careerzynith credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
* Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert on applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption)
* Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical support
* Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
* Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
* Providing selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions
**Required Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
* Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required
* Experience in ML modeling is a plus
* Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
* Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
* Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
* Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
* A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
* Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required
* Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required
