Job Summary
The Deposit Data Entry and CIF Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of deposit accounts and customer information files. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of customer data, processing daily reports and tasks, and providing support to the front line through phone and email queues. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain Customer Information Files (CIF) and deposit accounts via documentation submitted by the front line, utilizing basic data entry functions
Process daily reports and tasks, including:

Dormancy reports
Deceased customer accounts
Product changes
Pending closed accounts
Interest dropped accounts


Assist the front line through phone and email queues, providing timely and accurate support
Balance Safe Deposit Box Settlement and CD/IRA Settlement, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage CD/IRA interest and distribution checks, updating accounts as necessary
Update DDA, CD, and special rates as directed by Finance, ensuring timely and accurate implementation
Handle year-end reporting and complete tax corrections as applicable for interest-bearing accounts, including Health Savings Accounts and IRAs


Essential Qualifications

High School diploma required
Preferred: one or more years of related bank or accounting experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and Federal Regulations (preferred)
Familiarity with the Jack Henry Xperience system (preferred, not required)
Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods of time
Ability to perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures


Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of experience in a banking or accounting environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with data entry and record-keeping systems
Familiarity with compliance and audit guidelines, including regulatory requirements
