Job Overview In this role, you will interface with various cross-functional teams to assist in fulfilling database activity requirements for supporting the efficient storage and retrieval of data. You will provide support for different SQL database conditions of low to moderate complexity and SQL DB solutions to meet application development requirements. Key Responsibilities Investigate normal DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks Perform routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), and monitoring SQL jobs Apply DB sizing and performance tuning practices to optimize database performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database activity requirements Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database management Provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent in education and work experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with SQL Server and database management systems Knowledge of DB sizing and performance tuning practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL Technology Ability to develop Powershell scripts Experience with SQL AOG and DB Mirroring Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts Experience with data modeling and database design Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
