Key Responsibilities Interface with various cross-functional teams to facilitate the fulfillment of database activity requirements for supporting the efficient storage and retrieval of data. Provide support for various SQL database environments of low to moderate complexity and SQL DB solutions to meet application development requirements. Investigate common DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks to ensure business continuity. Perform routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backup management (full, differential, and Log backups), and SQL job management. Apply DB sizing and performance tuning practices to optimize database performance and ensure scalability. Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and drive business outcomes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written and verbal reports, ensuring that database-related information is conveyed clearly and concisely. Essential Qualifications To be successful as a Database Analyst at blithequark, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in the field. Experience in investigating common DB issues and performing disaster recovery tasks. Proficiency in performing routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backup management, and SQL job management. Knowledge of DB sizing and performance tuning practices to optimize database performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technology, including the ability to leverage these platforms to drive database innovation. Ability to develop Powershell scripts to automate database tasks and improve efficiency. Experience with SQL AOG and DB mirroring, including the ability to implement these technologies to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
