As a Data Scientist on our Cloud Advancements Application Platform team, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing our AI strategy to take our developer experience platform to the next level and accelerate application development within Apple.

About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional AI/ML developer to join our team, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to apply algorithms to large-scale data and drive business outcomes. As a Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for:


Designing and implementing AI/ML models to drive business outcomes and improve developer experience
Collaborating with engineers and other data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions
Developing and deploying machine learning models using Python, R, SQL, and other quantitative programming languages
Ensuring data quality through analysis, modeling, and data preprocessing
Selecting and fine-tuning ML algorithms to achieve the best predictive performance
Communicating complex AI/ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders and presenting results in a clear and concise manner


Key Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need:


5+ years of experience in the software industry, focused on ML/AI development
A strong background in quantitative programming languages, such as Python, R, SQL, with experience working with distributed stores like S3, Flash, and Vector Data Set
Experience with model deployment for experimentation and A/B testing
A deep understanding of advanced AI/ML algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models
Strong knowledge of transformer architecture, vector embeddings, and applying models to solve various business problems
Experience with training models, using foundation models, and fine-tuning or tweaking models to meet custom needs
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex AI/ML concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders


Preferred qualifications include:


A BS in Data Science or Computer Science (or related field)
Experience applying ML methods in developer efficiency
A strong track record of delivering AI/ML solutions that drive business outcomes
