Job Summary We are urgently hiring an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Los Angeles, USA. This is a full-time remote position that offers a competitive salary of $26/hour. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for creating Certifiable Proof (RWE) through advanced research and innovative methodologies in the clinical trials space. You will work closely with our Clinical Trials team to drive success and make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry. Key Responsibilities Mine crude information datasets to convey normalized, analysis-ready patient partners from in-house information resources or authorized stages, analyze and interpret results, and help shape research systems. Collaborate with different members of the Walgreens Clinical Trials team to convey significant insights from real-world, clinical, and other information sources to support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial requests. Clean, transform, and store information into an integrated information lake for future investigation and broader team utilization. Perform data mining and statistical analysis to analyze RWE/RWD to find new insights regarding patient populations and treatment results. Support the development of certifiable information, analysis, and stage abilities, applying advanced investigation and tools to resolve logical inquiries from biopharmaceutical organizations. Work together on plan and execution of results research studies. Guarantee superior grade, thorough, and promptly interpretable expectations from RWE review and investigations. Construct dashboards, analysis, and reports for internal and external use. Conduct a reasonable level of effort on new certifiable information suppliers merchants and drive RWD quality evaluations to inform investment decisions. Essential Capabilities To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential capabilities: 3 years of experience with R, Python, or SQL. Experience in planning and executing rigorous and reproducible statistical analyses regarding the study of disease transmission and observational research with healthcare data. Knowledge of standard statistical testing procedures including generalized linear models, regression and classification, decision trees, machine learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis. Experience handling large datasets from various information sources. Experience managing protected patient health data. Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other BI analytics tools. Preferred Capabilities In addition to the essential capabilities, the following preferred capabilities would be beneficial for this role: Ability in EMR/Health IT, disease registries, and claims data sets. Skills in clinical data principles, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode). Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or regulatory compliance rules for real-world evidence studies or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR). Experience working on alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms or solutions. Experience with trial design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics. Understanding of analytics and AI techniques, ability to continue self-learning of technical and non-technical skills.
