About the Team The Analytics group at arenaflex is seeking skilled Data Scientists and Senior Data Scientists to join our team. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will work to discover insights and turn them into actionable recommendations, using data to inform decisions for the entire organization. Our Analytics team is critical to all operational areas at arenaflex, and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about using data to drive business decisions. Job Responsibilities As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include: Using quantitative analysis and data presentation to understand what drives our business Building full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools Working with and mentoring junior analysts to use more advanced techniques and solve challenges Producing recommendations and using statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings Providing insights to help business and product leaders understand market dynamics, personal behaviors, and long-term trends Identifying and measuring levers to help move key metrics and making recommendations Working backward from expertise and sizing issues to ideating solutions Reporting against our goals by identifying key metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress Collaborating with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor our logging Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related domain 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc. Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, including Matlab, R, SAS, or Python Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools (e.g. Chartio, Looker, Tableau) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools Strong communication and presentation skills Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work with large datasets and complex systems Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
