About the Team Our Analytics group is a dynamic and diverse team of professionals who are passionate about using data to tell a story. We're looking for talented Data Scientists and Senior Data Scientists to join our team across various analytics groups, including Consumer & Growth, Business Operations, Dasher & Logistics, Customer Experience & Integrity, Merchant, Ads & Sales, New Verticals, and International Data Science. As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting challenges, from customer acquisition and fraud detection to marketing and balancing delivery and demand. About the Role As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you'll be responsible for using your quantitative expertise to mentor junior analysts and dive into complex datasets to inform manual decision-making. You'll work closely with business and product leaders to identify key metrics, develop executive-facing dashboards, and provide insights that drive revenue, growth, and operational efficiency. Your role will involve: Using quantitative analysis and data visualization to uncover insights and drive business decisions Building full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools Mentoring junior analysts on advanced techniques and problem-solving strategies Developing recommendations and using statistical methods and hypothesis testing to validate findings Providing insights to help business and product leaders understand market dynamics, customer behaviors, and long-term trends Identifying and measuring key levers to drive vital metrics and making recommendations Collaborating with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor logging Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc. Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, such as Matlab, R, SAS, or Python Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools (e.g., Chartio, Looker, Tableau) The ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience will make you a more competitive candidate: Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools Strong communication and collaboration skills What You'll Love About Working at blithequark At blithequark, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, innovative, and rewarding.
