Job Outline and Responsibilities As a Data Scientist - Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business outcomes by applying data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques to complex business problems. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques Continuously developing and demonstrating advanced analytics methodologies to drive business growth Working with large datasets to extract insights and communicate findings to stakeholders Identifying business problems and determining the most effective analytics and modeling techniques to apply Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research At least 2+ years of experience in modeling/machine learning Strong knowledge of either R or Python programming languages Experience working with large datasets and performing predictive modeling Proficiency in using database querying tools and writing complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL or Microsoft TSQL Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications To take your application to the next level, you will need: A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or MBA Hands-on experience in using Large Data environments (Hadoop/ Spark), API Gateways, and non-structured data Experience with data visualization tools and techniques What We Offer At United Airlines, we offer a range of benefits and perks to support our employees' well-being and career growth.
