**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Technician to join our Customs Brokerage team on a part-time basis (15-20 hours per week). As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, understanding and identifying customs documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. **Key Responsibilities**
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
* Understand and identify customs documentation
* Transpose customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
* Verify documents received for Import customs purposes are compliant and correct
* Provide excellent customer service building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally
* Ensure compliance at all times to regulations
* Daily execution of workflow and department metrics
**Qualifications**
* Associates or Bachelors Degree
* Effective interpersonal skills- including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills are critical
* Proficient computer skills- solid data entry with high accuracy rate, email, internet, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Growth mindset, eager to learn and develop your skills
* Desire for a career in supply chain/logistics
**Essential Skills and Competencies**
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes
* Excellent customer service skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in customs brokerage or logistics
* Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
* Experience with data entry software and systems
* Certification in customs brokerage or logistics (e.g. CGBP, CICP)
