**Job Summary**
As a Data Entry Specialist - Senior, you will be responsible for administering payments, performing general accounting and compliance functions, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless data entry, accurate coding, and timely processing of invoices. Your expertise in MS Excel, Oracle, and other accounting software will be essential in driving business efficiency and accuracy.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Administers payments and performs general accounting and compliance functions, including invoice processing, account coding, systemic entries, and compliance testing.
* Maintains accurate and timely MS Excel logs.
* Reviews invoices for payment and processing, identifying coding and pricing issues, and working with vendors and internal teams to resolve.
* Utilizes independent discretion to code payments to Oracle accounts and corrects coding errors.
* Raises potential issues to management and makes recommendations based on past experiences to solve or develop processes to remediate.
* Maintains logs that track costs and spend by project/invoice.
* Performs YE accounting functions, including processing and developing accruals.
* Processes non-contractual and special project invoices.
**Major Areas of Responsibility**
* Exterior Building Sign Invoices:
+ Reviews invoices for payment and processing (~75+ invoices/month).
+ Reviews each line to decide upon proper coding, requiring cross-referencing multiple department project schedules as sources.
+ Identifies coding and pricing issues and works with vendors and/or internal teams to resolve.
+ Maintains Payment and Tracking logs.
* Accounting and Compliance:
+ Utilizes independent discretion to code payments to Oracle accounts and corrects coding errors.
+ Raises potential issues to management and makes recommendations based on past experiences to solve or develop processes to remediate.
+ Maintains logs that track costs and spend by project/invoice.
**Eligibility Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Business-related field preferred.
* Will consider 8+ years of experience in lieu of college degree.
* Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Oracle, GAAP, and DocuSign.
* Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to work with varied contractors and work independently with minimal guidance/supervision.
* Lucernex knowledge is a plus but not required.
