Experienced Data Entry Specialist – High Accuracy and Attention to Detail

**Job Description**

As a data entry specialist at careerzynith, you'll be part of a functional team that focuses on accuracy and attention to detail. You'll work independently, with minimal supervision, to read and enter data from various customer service documents into our computer systems. Your role is crucial to the smooth operation of our company, as you verify the information before entering it and ensure consistency in format.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Read and decipher customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via print catalog, and online
* Key data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, with 10% of orders submitted in person, 15% via catalog, and the rest online
* Read and enter data from other source documents, such as invoices and receipts
* Verify the accuracy of data before entering it into the system
* Ensure data consistency throughout the system, including updating customer information and addresses
* Report any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor
* Maintain accurate and updated logs of ongoing work
* Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for approximately three hours per day
* Spend approximately five hours daily on data entry keying

**Qualifications**

**Essential Qualifications**

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
* Strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Patience for repetitive work

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Reading knowledge of English and Spanish (approximately 5-10% of orders are in Spanish)
* One to two years of experience in data entry and/or filing
* Social perceptiveness and service orientation
