**Position Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis (20-25 hours per week). This role requires fluency in English and a working knowledge of Chinese (reading fluency preferred). As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering books and periodicals into our systems in multiple languages, adhering to specific data entry guidelines, and utilizing specialized tools to facilitate foreign language data entry. You will also prepare purchase orders for entered products and cover scans of important products to be added to our system/website.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Accurately enter books and periodicals into our systems in multiple languages
* Learn and adhere to specific data entry guidelines necessary for our customer base
* Utilize specialized tools to facilitate foreign language data entry
* Prepare purchase orders for entered products when requested
* Cover scans of important products to be added to our system/website
* Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
**Essential Qualifications**
* Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills
* Chinese reading and writing language skills (simplified and/or traditional)
* Fluency in English language
* Prior experience in academic research, library science, or publishing work environment (desired but not required)
* Highly organized and skilled in time management with ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and manage deadlines
* Strong track record of accuracy in communications and technical details
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products

* Experience with data entry software and systems
* Familiarity with foreign language databases and information products
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
