As a Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:
* Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and your ability to move through varying programs
* Typing in data provided directly from customers

* Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
* Updating existing data
* Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
* Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Proven experience as a data entry clerk (preferred but not required)
* Fast typing skills (at least 40 words per minute)
* A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
* Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
* Good command of English (both oral and written) and customer service skills
* Great attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
