Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Data Entry and Information Architect professionals. As a Data Entry and Information Architect at blithequark, you will play a vital role in supporting the design, construction, testing, and maintenance of large-scale data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of our data assets. Key Responsibilities Support the design, construction, testing, and maintenance of large-scale data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of our data assets Assist in updating data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and integrity Work on batch processing of collected data, matching its schema to the stored data, and ensuring that the data is properly handled and analyzed Help maintain the environment and pipeline updated and efficient, investigating standard performance, data-related issues, and providing L3 support Implement parsers, validators, transformers, and correlators to reformat, update, and improve the data Provide proposals to highly complex issues and offer guidance to less senior positions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A strong foundation in computer science, programming, database systems, or a related field Familiarity with distributed and cloud environments, as well as a deep understanding of optimizing computational considerations with theoretical properties Experience in building robust cloud-based data engineering and curation solutions to create data products useful for various applications Knowledge of Microsoft Azure tooling for large-scale data engineering efforts and solutions, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL D, and Azure Synapse Analytics Ability to create and operationalize functions and solutions, including near-real-time high-volume streaming scenarios Active development skills with the ability to work at the code level and help troubleshoot hard-to-determine issues Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with Scala, PySpark, Kafka, and other high-volume data tools Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL storage tools, such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB/CosmosDB Familiarity with Java, Python data tools, and Azure DevOps experience Experience with data engineering patterns to support shifting business needs Knowledge of various data types (JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro, unstructured) for both batch and streaming ingestions Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
