We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build robust, flexible, and privacy-driven data structures. As part of this group, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, versatile, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design top-notch data structures that enable proper handling of user personal data.
**About the Role**
As a Data Engineer (L4) - Privacy, you'll be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement effective, flexible, and adaptable data pipelines to manage structured and unstructured data
Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a privacy-focused perspective
Collaborate with the privacy design teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to user and regulatory data requests
Maintain and re-evaluate existing datasets and pipelines
Join a talented team of data engineers who enhance our data protection and mitigate legal and regulatory risk
**What We're Looking For**
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about consumer-driven data protection and risk alleviation for the business. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Qualifications
Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience
Strong understanding of advanced SQL
Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines
Strong passion for showcasing excellence, learning new technologies, and growing your career
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
