We are now seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team, working remotely and online, with a competitive salary of $26 per hour. Job Overview As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be part of a core engineering team that develops critical technology solutions to ensure that as a business, we meet stringent financial regulatory expectations. You will work with large swaths of data for clients across 20+ countries, interacting with multiple technology systems that enable critical business and technology functions. Your primary responsibility will be to architect, code, and deliver software that makes us an essential part of our clients' digital lives. Key Responsibilities: Develop, deploy, and operate relational database programs across development, test, and production environments Create powerful test cases that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines Design and implement observability capabilities into solutions to enable the critical identification of root causes for failures in time-sensitive processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability and reliability of SQL databases Participate in the development of new technologies and contribute to the wider engineering community through open-source initiatives Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you should have: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Proven experience in developing, deploying, and operating relational database programs Strong understanding of SQL and database scalability Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Public Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices Strong communication and collaboration skills Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to helping our colleagues grow and develop in their careers.
