About the Job We are seeking an enthusiastic, mature, and inquisitive Data Engineer to contribute to the team's impact in a rapidly growing business. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, building, and extending the core data models that our Advertisements capabilities use to address business questions. You will work in a team of skilled data engineers and imagine how all the data elements from various sources should fit together, and then implement that plan. Key Responsibilities Design, strengthen, and extend the core data models that our Advertisements capabilities use to address business questions Completely own critical parts of arenaflex's Advertisements data model, collaborating with stakeholders to see needs, model tables using computer programming and data warehouse best practices, and develop data pipelines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data Collaborate with Analysis Engineers, Data Scientists, and Programmers to create informational indexes that will serve analysis and reporting needs intuitively Develop best practices for management of informational indexes with sensitive data Build strong and collaborative relationships with data scientists, analysis specialists, and AI experts Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree and a strong technical ability working with advertising data. You should be a sharp communicator who can break down and explain complex data issues in clear and concise language. You should also have a broad background and solid technical skill working with data modeling and laying out data architecture across different systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with large data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, and Voila is preferred. You should also have experience with obtaining and modeling data from application APIs. Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation for both batch and streaming is also desirable. Proficiency in writing complex SQL and Python is a plus. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should have a high capacity to bear ambiguity and a quickly changing context.
