**The Data Engineering Team**

Our Data Engineering team is a key part of careerzynith's Data Science + Mix (DDSI) association, which supports clients across our company, including the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division, Disney Media Networks, and ESPN. We use a combination of data science, machine learning, and engineering techniques to analyze large datasets, identify business opportunities, and drive business value. Our team is responsible for designing and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that support our business operations.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us design and maintain data pipelines that drive business insights and inform strategic decisions across our Media business. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Data Science team to develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that support our business operations. You will also collaborate with our IT team to ensure that our data systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design and maintain data pipelines that support our business operations, including data ingestion, processing, and storage
* Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes that support our business analytics and reporting needs
* Collaborate with our Data Science team to develop and maintain data models and algorithms that support our business operations
* Work with our IT team to ensure that our data systems are secure, scalable, and reliable
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts to support our data operations
* Collaborate with our business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
* Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and apply that knowledge to improve our data systems and processes

**Essential Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong experience with Python and SQL, with a focus on cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
* Experience with cloud design and product contributions, ideally AWS
* Experience with source control systems such as GitLab and GitHub
* Experience with Docker and containerization

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based
* Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture
* Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
