Our Data Science + Mix (DDSI) association is dedicated to supporting clients across The Walt Disney Organization, including the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division, which encompasses Parks and Resorts, both domestic and international, Customer Products and Disney Consumer Products, as well as the Disney Entertainment section, which includes Studios Content (Disney Theatrical Productions), General Entertainment Content, and ESPN and Sports Content. **Job Summary**

We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and contribute to the development and support of data pipelines for our Media business. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our Data Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues on various projects, including data pipeline design, development, and maintenance, as well as data set design and creation. Your expertise in cloud-based technologies, data engineering, and data analysis will help us drive business growth and innovation.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data sets and data pipelines that support business decisions
* Develop and maintain data set designs, including tables, views, and stored procedures
* Create and execute data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and technologies
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and reliability
* Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data pipeline issues and improve data quality
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud computing

**Essential Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong expertise in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Docker
* Experience with source control systems, such as GitLab and GitHub
* Strong understanding of data set design and data modeling principles

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
* Experience managing and delivering code using a source control system like GitLab or GitHub
* Experience using Docker and containerization technologies
