Job Overview The Data Engineer and Information Analytics Specialist will be responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing data pipelines to drive analysis and data services. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineering, and data platform groups, to design, build, test, and automate data pipelines that are relied upon across the organization as the single source of truth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing and operationalizing data pipelines, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Creates and operationalizes data pipelines to make data available for use (BI, Advanced analytics, Services) Works with data architects and data/BI engineers to design data pipelines and recommends continuous improvement of data storage, data ingestion, data quality, and governance Designs, develops, and implements ETL/ELT processes using IICS (Informatica Cloud) Utilizes Azure services like Azure SQL DW (Synapse link), ADLS, Azure Event Hub, and Azure Data Factory to improve and accelerate delivery of our data products and services Implements big data and NoSQL solutions by developing scalable data processing platforms to drive high-value insights to the organization Identifies, designs, and implements internal process improvements: automating manual processes, and optimizing data delivery Identifies ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of data management Communicates technical concepts to non-technical audiences both written and verbal Performs peer reviews for other data engineers' work Essential Qualifications 2+ years' experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets 2+ years' hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter 2+ years' hands-on experience with Informatica IICS 2+ years' experience working with Cloud technologies; like ADLS, Azure Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, and other big data technologies 2+ years' experience in Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing 2+ years' hands-on experience implementing data integration processes like event/message-based integration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub), ETL Solid understanding of database storage concepts; Data Lake, Social Databases, NoSQL, Graph, Data Warehousing Able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure/comparable certifications Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development approaches Familiarity with the retail industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working with SAP integration tools including Bodies Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
