Job Responsibilities
As a Data Center Operations Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

Installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and server software
Configuring and troubleshooting Linux OS-associated issues on servers
Deploying and maintaining Google's advanced data center server and network infrastructure
Participating in or leading troubleshooting and resolving critical or escalated technical issues
Testing and troubleshooting new server hardware components and designs
Collaborating and partnering with people and teams to overcome problems
Contributing and leading efforts/tasks in the deployment, maintenance, and support of modern and new data center infrastructure


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Experience troubleshooting hardware or community-associated troubles using Linux-based tools
Experience in hardware, networking equipment, operating systems, and data center operations
A high school diploma or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:

Experience working in a data center or network operation center environment
Experience with light coding or scripting
Experience with networking protocols
