The Opportunity: Data Analyst II

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst II to join our dynamic Data Ventures/Continuous Improvement team. This position represents a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy, where your analytical expertise will directly impact product development initiatives and business outcomes across careerzynith's digital platforms.

While this role is not remote and requires in-office presence 3 days per week, we're specifically considering candidates local to Bentonville, AR or Dallas, TX who can work onsite. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst II on our Data Ventures team, you'll be instrumental in interpreting and analyzing data that drives careerzynith's strategic initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:


Research, collect, and analyze customer data, transforming raw information into actionable insights that inform business decisions
Design and develop client-driven dashboards that capture key performance indicators, providing product teams with critical insights for strategic decision-making
Collaborate with various Data Ventures teams, leveraging your analytical expertise alongside theirs to analyze, evaluate, and provide insights about careerzynith's customers that drive our business strategies
Partner with stakeholders across careerzynith Digital Citizenship, careerzynith Global Tech, and product teams to promote the ethical and responsible use of data and technology
Enable new data products by providing them with accurate, high-quality data that powers their functionality and value
Improve product efficiency by focusing on data optimization to reduce costs while maintaining or enhancing performance
Ensure the safety and security of careerzynith's data assets, helping our customers succeed through reliable, trustworthy information
Collaborate with business and product partners to solve challenging business problems and identify trends and opportunities
Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to see beyond the numbers and deliver meaningful insights
Define and evaluate key performance metrics for new product launches
Create data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of product initiatives and address unique business challenges
Identify new metrics to help improve key financial data insights, understanding root causes for changes in measurements
Conduct exploratory data analysis including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and quantitative analysis
Collaborate with data stewards and data engineering teams to gather and process correct information from various sources
Work effectively cross-functionally and communicate data and insights to non-technical leadership teams


Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
OR 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field


Preferred Qualifications


Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience in the retail or finance industry sectors
Successful completion of assessments in data analytics and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (such as SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau)
Strong experimental data analysis skills and ability to create analytical, data-driven recommendations and solutions
Experience with languages used to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets (SQL, Python, Presto, etc.)
Strong storytelling experience with data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools
Experience with data quality tools like Google DataPlex (Collibra Data Quality or SAS Data Management or IBM InfoSphere Data Server)
Experience with quality testing using Selenium, Cucumber, or Tosca
Experience building multi-step ETL jobs/data pipelines and working with job scheduling systems
Experience processing complex data on cloud platforms (preferably Google BigQuery and Hive)
Experience working with Data Modeling (E-R) and strong BI concepts
Understanding of statistics and machine learning models
Persuasive, engaging oral and written communication skills with ability to build strong, effective relationships
Comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
