About the Role As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of bright and motivated individuals who are dedicated to protecting our organization's digital assets. This role is situated in a remote work environment, offering a fantastic opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be responsible for assisting our Episode Response Group in identifying, mitigating, and recovering from cyber threats. This is a hands-on role that will provide you with invaluable experience in emergency management, threat assessment, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Work with business clients to lead needs analysis related to systems and business processes to create quality technical solutions. Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business systems, and comply with departmental standards. Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementing to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Act as a resource to ensure effective communication among business and Technology Groups. Participate in systems and acceptance testing. Scope of work varies depending on the Team assignment. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices. You should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education, and be at least 18 years old. You must also have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. A valid US government-issued Social Security Number is required to complete the hiring process. Preferred Qualifications Current enrollment in a degree program related to cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
