Job Summary
As a Customs Trade Coordinator at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of goods into the United States. Your primary responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, preparing and processing import-related documentation, and complying with all relevant regulations and guidelines. You will work closely with internal staff, clients, and government agencies to deliver a high level of service and ensure that all shipments are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Provide impeccable customer service to clients and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Retrieve and verify the correct arrangement of products for customs clearance from databases, SOPs, duty books, the web, or customs
Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and may handle all PGA's (participating Government Agencies)
Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record-keeping requirements
Comply with all international importing and exporting regulations, including those related to customs clearance, duties, and taxes
Work collaboratively with other internal staff, departments, and clients to deliver a high level of service and ensure that all shipments are handled efficiently and effectively
Process company financier shipments and may handle remote filings
Ensure that all service and organizational policies are followed, and that all procedures are carried out in accordance with established guidelines


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school certificate or GED, as well as basic computer skills and experience with data entry and console operations. You should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. While no industry experience is required, a minimum of six months of work experience is preferred. You should also be proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and other office equipment, such as telephones, faxes, scanners, and printers.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experience are preferred:

Experience working in a logistics or transportation environment, particularly in a customs brokerage or import/export role
Knowledge of US Customs regulations and procedures, including those related to customs clearance, duties, and taxes
Experience with data entry and processing of import-related documentation, including PGA's and remote filings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high volumes of work and time-sensitive tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal staff, clients, and government agencies
