As a Customer Support Specialist in our Release of Information team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely handling of medical record requests, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Answer and conduct business on the telephone while maintaining excellent Customer Service, responding to release of information related telephone calls and inquiries accurately and timely. Review, research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received via telephone, email, or written correspondence, documenting all calls, inquiries, and resolutions in detail in our software systems. Follow all department and site-specific processes and procedures, meeting and maintaining the department's productivity and quality assurance expectations. Maintain confidentiality by keeping all information seen and heard within the boundaries of the role in the strictest confidence. Foster a high level of professionalism and good rapport with co-workers and members of management, maintaining open lines of communication regarding any problems, complaints, incidents, etc. Perform work in accordance with the training and direction provided, adhering to facility-specific procedures and attending mandatory employee in-service meetings and/or training sessions as directed. Maintain an acceptable attendance record and report to work as scheduled, performing other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institute recognized by the State Dept. of Education. Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and professional manner of communication. Experience with multi-line phone systems and computer proficiency, including intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS-Office (Word and Excel). Ability to stay organized while working quickly, with strong attention to detail. Passing annual Introductory HIPAA examination and completion of a 90-day ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher. Compliance with blithequark's COVID-19 vaccination policy, with limited exceptions for medical conditions or sincerely held religious beliefs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in data entry, medical records, healthcare, insurance claims processing, and proofreading/editing of documents. One year of experience in a related field, with knowledge of MS-Office at an intermediate/advanced level.
