About the Role We are currently looking for a Customer Success Manager with a passion for delivering hands-on software and economic analysis support to our valued clients. As a key member of our Customer Success team, you will be individually assigned to clients, serving as their primary support resource and playing a pivotal role in ensuring their success and satisfaction with arenaflex. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing a clear adoption and retention strategy for clients in assigned verticals, driving customer outcomes and fostering long-term relationships. Key Responsibilities Become a subject matter expert on arenaflex data and products, developing a deep understanding of our software and its applications. Onboard new customers in the academic vertical, providing personalized orientation and support to ensure seamless integration of our software. Establish and maintain strong relationships with academic clients, from individual contributors to senior management, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Achieve and maintain target renewal retention rates, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion. Provide ongoing analytical support to clients across multiple communication platforms, including phone, email, video conferencing, and our support ticketing system. Successfully balance incoming orders and renewal management, ensuring a high rate of renewals and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Partner with our Education, Product, Marketing, and Data teams, serving as the voice of the customer and driving business growth. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you will possess: A Master's degree in Economics, Business, Economic Development, Planning, Public Policy, Urban Studies, or a closely related field. Strong skills in logic and problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and deductive reasoning. Excellent research skills and experience with complex analytical problem-solving. Comfort with sales and upselling techniques, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Ability to communicate effectively with professors, researchers, and university staff, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites, with fluency in English. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and experience are highly desirable: Experience in software customer success, sales, or customer service, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer support. Familiarity with input-output modeling and social accounting matrices, or experience using similar software. Experience with Salesforce CRM, Zendesk, and Pendo, with knowledge of web meeting tools such as RingCentral, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. Foreign language skills, with the ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds.
