**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide fast, friendly, and personalized service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to drive sales growth
* Learn about products and services using our tools and training programs, and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments, to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
* Participate in sales promotions, events, and training programs to stay up-to-date on products and services
* Meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction metrics, as measured by careerzynith
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
* 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or construction-related environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a point-of-sale system, and processing transactions
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the store
* Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
