Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team. **Key Responsibilities** • Handle a large volume of calls and perform work in a timely manner, ensuring exceptional customer service and revenue cycle efficiency. • Attempt to collect full payment from patients or guarantors in a professional and courteous manner, while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. • Establish payment arrangements per guidelines, documenting terms in the billing system and applying payments collected over the phone to each date of service. • Handle customer inquiries, disputes, and complaints, escalating contentious issues to supervisor or higher management as needed. • Obtain and update all necessary insurance, demographic, and guarantor information, ensuring accurate patient profiles and timely billing to third-party payers. • Clearly document all work and follow-up steps in the system after each call, maintaining accurate records and facilitating seamless communication with colleagues. **Essential Qualifications** • High school graduate or GED certificate is required. • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a physician billing or third-party payer environment, with a strong understanding of contracts, insurance benefits, exclusions, and other billing requirements. • Ability to navigate the payer adjudication process, with a solid understanding of claim forms, HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, and compliance program regulations. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with patient financial and practice management systems, particularly Epic and/or other electronic billing systems. • Knowledge of medical terminology and previous call center/claims experience. • Previous experience in an academic healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this environment. **Compensation and Benefits** arenaflex offers a competitive hourly rate range of $22.39 - $28.29, based on experience, skill set, training, and education.
