As a Customer Service Representative - Claims (Total Loss), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our policyholders, guiding them through the claims process, and ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism. Job Summary and Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with our claims process related to total losses. Your duties will include: Providing exceptional customer service via telephone, ensuring that policyholders receive timely and accurate information about their claims Assisting customers with new and existing claims, addressing their concerns, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Processing letters to those involved in the claims process, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date Issuing payments to insureds, claimants, and vendors, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and efficient Adjusting losses for a variety of claims, with the exception of bodily injury, and ensuring that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures Work Environment and Flexibility We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements to support your needs. Once you are fully trained and able to work independently, you may be eligible to work from home up to two days a week, allowing you to manage your personal and professional responsibilities with greater ease. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent education Previous customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with policyholders and provide clear, concise information A strong understanding of insurance principles and practices, although previous insurance background is not required The ability to obtain a state insurance license and meet continuing education requirements to maintain your license (comprehensive training will be provided) What We Offer In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary, with a starting annual salary of $41,053, which may be negotiable based on your level of experience and applicable licenses within the Property and Casualty Industry.
