Job Overview
As a Customer Service Representative (Student Loan Advisor) at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers. You will be responsible for answering frequent questions, providing detailed information, processing applications, and resolving emerging problems that our customer accounts may face. Our ideal candidate is someone who is empathetic, communicates clearly, and is committed to delivering great customer service. This is an in-center position with the possibility of working from home after 90 days, provided you meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
Take incoming calls, use chat, and complete outbound calls as necessary to assist customers with their queries
Utilize standard technology such as a telephone, email, and web browser to provide accurate and efficient service
Navigate to pre-scripted responses to provide basic general and claims-specific information
Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, timekeeping, and documentation
Assist callers with filling out their applications and submitting them electronically for processing
Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry
Schedule
The schedule for this position is as follows:
Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm
Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively work within established key performance indicators/metrics
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks
Preferred Skills
While not required, the following skills are preferred:
Experience working in a contact center environment
Knowledge of contact center technology
Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word
Excellent command of the English language, with effective use of grammar skills
