**Job Summary**

As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You will be responsible for the coordination and handling of new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits, assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, collecting and processing copay payments, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with complex issues.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
* Coordinate and handle new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits, and assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
* Collect and process copay payments, and obtain approvals from insurance companies and healthcare providers as needed
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve and process orders with complex issues, including those related to sales or clinical concerns
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence
* Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on new medications, treatments, and technologies
* Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care

**Essential Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, communications)
* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer inquiries via phone
* One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
* One year of experience with PC keyboarding, typing, and data entry

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Healthcare experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams
