Job Overview In this critical position, you will utilize your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to support customers' specialty benefit verifications, guaranteeing that they receive their essential medications by the expected dates. While a background in healthcare or insurance is not required, a passion for learning, understanding concerns, and providing solutions is essential. As a key member of our team, you will make a tangible difference in the lives of our customers, many of whom are dealing with rare and complex conditions such as cancer, fertility issues, and more. Key Responsibilities Utilize multiple benefits verification tools and electronic healthcare record systems to locate benefits and process claims efficiently. Make outbound calls to doctor's offices, insurance providers, and patients to facilitate the processing of specialty medications, ensuring timely delivery. Complete a significant portion of cases through back-office work, with the remaining cases involving inbound and outbound calls, adapting to the evolving needs of the business. Effectively handle incoming and outgoing calls, proactively gathering patient and order information while providing empathetic support. Navigate multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy, ensuring seamless communication and data management. Adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations, prioritizing patient confidentiality and adherence to specific therapies. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn new call types as business needs change, providing support in various areas as required. Work-at-Home Requirements To ensure a productive and secure work environment, you will need to meet the following requirements: High-speed internet with a minimum download speed of 25 mbps (no satellite, Wi-Fi, or cellular/wireless carrier hotspot or internet services). A hard-wired internet connection via an Ethernet cable to a modem/router that you own or are responsible for. A dedicated, quiet, and secure workspace with minimal distractions. A USB-wired headset with a noise-canceling microphone. blithequark will provide you with the necessary company equipment, including a PC, mouse, keyboard, and other essentials, to ensure a seamless work experience. Additional Requirements Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare insurance, prescription dispensing requirements, customer education, and routine assessments (although not mandatory, this experience is highly valued). Exhibit a professional, positive attitude and courteous telephone etiquette. Possess a customer-focused personality and a genuine desire to help people. Be available for a full-time schedule, including potential weekends, to meet business needs. Be willing to submit to a drug test and background check as part of our hiring process.
