Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with the selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. You will be the face of our company, and your exceptional service skills will be essential in creating a positive and memorable shopping experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer feels valued and supported. Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, contributing to a safe and secure environment. Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring that our store is always fully stocked and ready for customers. Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, taking pride in the presentation and organization of our products. Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any concerns or issues to management. Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that align with our company values. The following requirements and qualifications are essential: Education We prefer candidates who have completed high school or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic skills and knowledge. The ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned is also essential. Experience Preferably, you will have experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, where you have developed strong customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height. You must also be able to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability We require candidates who are available to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
