About the Role As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the frontline ambassador for our company, ensuring that every interaction with our clients is met with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to first-call resolution. Your primary responsibilities will include answering incoming calls, researching and evaluating medical claims and benefits, documenting call activities, and maintaining a thorough understanding of applicable VA regulations. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to achieve our mission and embody our company values. Key Responsibilities: Conduct every transaction with a customer-focused, courteous approach to ensure first-call resolution and achieve quality scores while maintaining production standards. Research and evaluate medical claims and benefits for proper adjudication, utilizing client systems, soft phone systems, and customer relationship management software. Document call activity and make requests for corrective action into VA systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable VA regulations as they relate to 72-hour notification requirements, staying updated on any changes or developments. Act as an effective team member, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and success. Other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of our organization. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that align with our company values and mission. Essential qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred experience in customer service. You should have general office skills, knowledge of standard office equipment, and proficiency in software such as Excel and Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial, along with data entry and 10-key experience. Personal traits such as high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty, and integrity are highly valued. Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and provide personalized support. Problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of researching and evaluating complex medical claims and benefits. Technical skills, including proficiency in client systems, soft phone systems, and customer relationship management software. Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
